RSI Entry Engine
Oversold can stay oversold for days. The reclaim is the moment that matters.
RSI tells you when price is stretched. This shows you when it actually turns.
Free & open-source · Works on any market and timeframe · An educational analysis tool, not financial advice.
An open-source RSI reclaim framework: it waits for a smoothed RSI to exit an extreme zone and reclaim back through your threshold, then projects a full entry / stop / target structure right on the chart.
Most traders use RSI as a blunt overbought / oversold flag — and get chopped up for it. A market can sit 'oversold' for a dozen candles while you bleed out trying to catch the bottom, or stay 'overbought' far longer than feels reasonable. The static reading alone rarely tells you when a move is actually turning.
RSI Entry Engine is built around one specific idea: the reclaim. It smooths RSI, derives a signal line, and classifies price into a full hierarchy of zones — extreme, overbought, bullish, neutral, bearish, oversold — then only marks an entry event when the smoothed RSI exits an extreme and crosses back through your threshold, confirmed on bar close. Each reclaim is projected onto the price chart as a complete entry, stop-loss and take-profit structure, with your choice of entry method, stop mode (ATR, signal-candle or percent) and risk–reward target.
It's a structured decision-support and review framework — not a black box and not a promise. Best of all, it's open-source and free, so you can inspect exactly what it's doing and adapt it to the markets and timeframes you actually trade.
- Act on reclaims out of extremes — not on a static high or low reading
- See entry, stop and target projected automatically on the chart
- Confirmed on bar close to filter out intrabar fakeouts
- Read RSI state at a glance with the built-in status panel
- Free & open-source — verify every line of the logic yourself
Traders who use RSI as a state-and-transition tool, not a static threshold
6 components, one output
Reclaim-based entries
Triggers when smoothed RSI exits an extreme zone and reclaims back through your threshold — not merely when it's high or low.
Smoothed RSI + signal line
A two-layer oscillator (EMA / SMA / RMA) cuts noise so reclaim events read cleanly against an internal reference.
Multi-zone state model
Classifies RSI into Extreme, Overbought, Bullish, Neutral, Bearish, Oversold and Extreme Low so every signal has context.
On-chart trade projection
Projects entry, stop and target boxes onto the price chart — entry by Close / Open / HLC3, stops by ATR / signal-candle / percent, with an RR-based target.
Bar-close confirmation
Signals confirm only on the close, so temporary intrabar moves never count as a completed reclaim.
Status panel + full alerts
A compact RSI-state panel plus alerts for crosses, reclaims, centerline shifts and projected TP / SL hits.
From a blank chart to a read
- Add the indicator and choose your RSI source and length.
- Decide whether to keep RSI raw or smoothed, and configure the signal line.
- Set your Overbought, Oversold, Extreme High and Extreme Low thresholds.
- Enable on-chart projection, then pick entry mode, stop-loss mode and risk–reward.
- Wait for a bullish or bearish reclaim to confirm on bar close.
- Use the projected entry / stop / target as an analysis framework — and the panel and alerts to monitor RSI state.

Most losing trades aren't bad entries. They're good entries taken in a market that was never tradeable.

An exhausted move plus a rejection candle isn't a guess. It's pressure changing hands.
